Chopped Onions

CHOPPED ONIONS:  Rather than chopping a small amount of onion for a recipe each time it is necessary, I chop a large onion and store it in a freezer bag in the freezer and measure the proper amount as needed. One large onion will yield about 1 C. chopped. You may also purchase chopped onion from your grocer’s freezer but I find that these are too chunky for my recipes and I often find onion skins in the package.
