CAKE MIXES:  All of my cakes begin with either Yellow or Chocolate Cake mix. I usually purchase 3 boxes at a time and store them in an airtight plastic container.   Document the expiration date on the container to be sure that you are always using fresh mix.  (White cake mix may be substituted for Yellow Cake mix.)
